YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University) it was named in memory of  the founder late. Mr. Yenepoya Moideen Kunhi and has become one of the leading Universities in the District of Dakshina Kannada (South Canara), Karnataka State, India in the short period since it was founded. The University is consistently rated for the high quality of its teaching, research, healthcare and it has cultivated close and productive links with its local and regional community. Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre was established in 2017 as a constituent college of YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University) in an intention to provide quality pharmacy education to the people of Karnataka and neighboring districts of Kerala State. The college of Pharmacy is housed in the YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University) campus.  It is an approved research centre for Ph. D. programmes.  In order to produce competent pharmacist workforce to meet the growing demands of the industry and community. It is planned to start the Diploma in Pharmacy program after the successful inspection conducted by the Government of Karnataka and Pharmacy Council of India from the upcoming academic session. In line with our vision, University is optimistic to expand the pharmacy curriculum by introducing M. Pharm and Pharm D. courses.

Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research (DIBER) under the aegis of DRDO is engaged in Research & Development in the area of bio-resource utilization for bio-energy. herbal product development and application of genetic engineering for crop improvement. DIBER provides excellent opportunity to young and motivated researchers to pursue career in basic and applied field of Life Science research with state of art research facilities.
