CSIR- National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier plant science research institute, involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India. CSIR-NBRI undertakes basic and applied research in strategically important areas of plant sciences.

Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Pharmacy (GRCP) creates an environment that opens up new worlds of opportunity. The institute is a DSIR recognized Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO), accredited by NBA, affiliated to Osmania University and approved by AICTE. Having four research departments such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and quality assurance and pharmacology, many research staff and research scholars are contributing immensely to the scientific community.

The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has awarded Research Fellowships in Science for Meritorious Students (RFSMS) to the Department of Pharmacy, Osmania University, Hyderabad, 500 007 for the year 2012-2013 under BSR Scheme. IICB Institute was established in 1935 as the first non official centre in India for biomedical research and was included within the aegis of CSIR in 1956.
