National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune, established in 1950, is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). CSIR-NCL is a science and knowledge based research, development and consulting organization. It is internationally known for its excellence in scientific research in chemistry and chemical engineering as well as for its outstanding track record of industrial research involving partnerships with industry from concept to commercialization.

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (University for Women) was founded in the year 1983 by Sri N.T.Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, with the fervent desire to train women students as better builders of the Nation and to inculcate skills of leadership in all aspects of life.The University was established under the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Act of 1983,which has come into force on the 14 of April 1983.It was started with ten faculties and 300 students and twenty staff members. Today the University has a student population nearly 4000 and an academic staff of 105 and 131 academic consultants. This year the University has 59 courses at the post-graduate and undergraduate level and a good component of research.

Bharat institute of Technology-Pharmacy (BIT) was established in the year 1999 by the CHMR Educational Society with the noble aim of imparting quality Pharmacy education to students aspiring to become responsible pharmacists and to cater to the needs of pharmacy profession. Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) was established in the year 1989 as an autonomous institute under the administrative control of Govt. of Odisha. In 2002, it was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the institute to the nation in July 2003.  Institute of Life Sciences has a broad vision of carrying out high-quality multidisciplinary research in the area of life sciences. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), a National Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India invites applications for contractual positions of Scientist Fellows. The main mandate of IBSD is Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources for the socio-economic Development of the North East Region of India, which is a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals and microbial resources.
