The College objective to provide trained technical manpower to the rapidly expanding Pharmaceutical Industry in the region and to carry out research in advanced areas of Pharmaceutical sciences. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, PCI, Govt. of Punjab and are affiliated to PTU, Jalandhar& PSBTE& IT.

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. The Central University of Punjab is the youngest university that has secured its position in the top 100 institutions (95th Rank) in the University category & 1st amongst New Central Universities in the MHRD’s NIRF Ranking 2019.

Lala Birkha Ram College of Pharmacy, has a Unique Campus located in the foothills of shivaliks, spread in a sprawling lush green, over 10 acres land, in closest vicinity of Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali. This institute has been established by a non profiteering registered society namely Lala Birkha Ram Medical, Research & Education Society, registered under the Society Registration Act, 1860. The promoters have vast experience of successfully running educational institutions for over 15 years.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an Autonomous Institute of National importance and the first National pharma institute in North-East India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an Act of Parliament, to impart high quality Education and Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
