Centre for Brain Research (CBR) offers a full-time Ph.D. Program in basic and clinical neuroscience to understand the aging brain and aging-related brain disorders.  As a research centre recognised by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka. CBR directly admits students to the Ph.D. program. CBR also participates in the Ph.D. program of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), wherein the students are admitted by IISc under the supervision of IISc faculty and the co-supervision of a CBR faculty member.

Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB) is an autonomous national institute under Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India). The Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar is a permanent research centre of Indian Council of Medical Research. The foundation stone of the centre was laid by the then prime minister of India Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi on 29th March 1981.Initially the Center started in a small rental accommodation in 1982 and shifted to the Centre’s own building in year 1990 after completion.
