National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in man power resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology.

The following purely temporary positions are to be filled up in DST and ICMR funded projects.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post on ad hoc research project entitled: ‘Phytochemical, Pharmacognostic and Nutritional Characterisation of the Panax Species (Aratiaceae) from the Eastern Himalayan Region, India for Addressing Medicinal, Trade and Regional Livelihood Security Issues". The project is funded by BCIL-DBT and executing agency is NIN. Applications will be received from the individuals on 15111 May. 2017 for the following post between 9:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. in the Training Class Rocm, NCLAS Building, NIN, Tarnaka, Hyderabad for Walk-in-Written Test/ Interview. The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, is a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
