Pharma or Biotechnology Fellowship at Gujarat Biotechnology University

Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is the World’s First Biotechnology University spread over a 20-acre campus at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled “Development of Long-Acting Peptide Dual Modulators for Treatment of Hypertension and End-Organ Protection” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co- terminates with the project.

Minimum Qualifications :
M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.Pharm. or equivalent in Biotechnology and allied areas with a minimum of 55% marks in the preceding qualification.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications :
• Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT- JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE/National-level exams will be preferred.
Peptide/Organic Synthesis and Biophysical Characterization of Peptides.
• Hands-on experience in performing Biochemical Assays for Enzyme Inhibition.
• Hands-on experience in Mammalian Cell Culture.
• Candidates with good communication skills.

Age Limit : Up to 30 years on the closing date of the advertisement
Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year, extendable for the 2nd year (total 24 months or project tenure), subject to satisfactory progress and financial provisions.

Fellowship : Rs. 36,000/- per month, including HRA (CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE, etc., or national-level exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines. OR Rs. 23,213/- fixed per month ( For candidates who have not qualified for the national- level examinations, such as CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE, etc.) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
