Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) was established as an autonomous organisation in 1978, under the Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Primarily a research body, CCRH has a multi-dimensional approach to research and its varied research activities include ‘Survey, collection and cultivation of medicinal plants’, ‘Drug standardisation’, ‘Drug proving’, ‘Clinical verification’ and ‘Clinical research’. Besides, CCRH also collaborates with other research bodies for researches and monitors extramural researches.

Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI) was incorporated as a Company wholly owned by Government of India on 18th January 1965 with the principal objective of achieving self sufficiency in cement production. The authorised and paid-up capital of the company as on 31.3.2015 was Rs. 900 crores and Rs. 811.41 crores respectively.  CCI is a multi unit organisation at present having ten units spread over eight states with a total annual installed capacity of 38.98 lakh MT. All Factories, Zonal Offices and Corporate Office at Delhi are inter connected through Internet. In line with the advancement in cement technology CCIhad been adopting the latest one with one million tonne plants at Tandur and Nayagaon.

ABSTRACT
Pain is an ill defined, disabling accompaniment of many medical conditions. It is often evoked by an external and internal noxious stimulus. It affects millions of people suffering with depression and other psychiatric disorders. Most of the antidepressants are having analgesic capacity to treat the pain by inhibiting nociceptive stimuli by increasing the seratonergic and noradrenergic transmission in CNS.

Objectives
The Present study carried out to investigate the central analgesic activity of potential antidepressants like Fluoxetine, Imipramine, Amitriptyline and to compare the analgesic activity with standard central analgesic Pentazocine.

Methods
Analgesic activity was evaluated by using hot plate and tail immersion models in mice. Fluoxetine (10 mg/kg), Imipramine (20 mg/kg), Amitriptyline(20 mg/kg) were used as test drugs and Pentazocine (10 mg/kg) was used as standard drug. 

Results
In tail immersion model of analgesic activity Fluoxetine possess significant analgesic activity (*p<0.05 at 60 min interval, ***p<0.001 at 90 and 120 min interval) Amitriptyline also showed significant analgesic activity (**p<0.01) at 90 min interval and ***p<0.001 at 120 min interval. Imipramine is the least effective analgesic in this study showed mild analgesic activity (*p<0.05 at 90 min interval and **p <0.01 at 120 min interval).

In hot plate analgesic model Fluoxetine and Amitriptyline possess significant analgesic activity (***p<0.001 at 120 min interval), Imipramine same like above said model less effective, doesn’t shown significant analgesic activity.

Conclusion
All the test drugs significantly reduce the painful stimuli when compared to the control group in both the models. These results suggest that the antidepressants which increase the monoamine transmission in the brain posse’s significant antidepressant activity and might be useful as potent analgesics.

Kakatiya University was established on 19th August, 1976 to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The founding of the University was in fact a historic event in the sense that heralded a new era in the realms of higher education of this region. The erstwhile Post-Graduate Centre of Osmania University was upgraded and named Kakatiya University. The development of the University over the years has been gradual but impressive. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. The University situated in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, has now 24 departments in four colleges on the campus with a network of eleven constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges. It has its Post-graduate Colleges at Subedari (Hanamkonda), Nirmal, Karimnagar, Godavarikhani, Khammam and Kothagudem in addtion to University Engineering College at Kothgudem.
