ABSTRACT
A supernumerary marker chromosome is an extra structurally abnormal chromosome of unknown origin. Various factors contribute to the difficulty of clarifying the phenotypicrisks of super numerary marker chromosomes (SMC), including differences inthe size, structure, and origin of marker chromosomes.

All marker chromosomes do not contribute the same risk of recurrence. Therefore characterization of the marker chromosomes is of utmost importance for Genetic Counseling. Different molecular techniques can be used to identify the chromosome material present in the markers. In the present retrospective data analysis of 15,000 karyotypes of all patients referred to the Center of Medical Genetics, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from 1998 to 2012. For constitution chromosome abnormality detection, we found fifteen (0.01%) patients had presence of the SMC. Of these fifteen, eight markers had been characterized after FISH was introduced in the year 2004.  This contributed to personalized Genetic Counseling and help for future pregnancies.

Abstract
Acalypha indica Linn. consists of dried herb of Acalypha indica Linn. belonging to familyEuphorbiaceae. Within the Euphorbiaceae family, Acalypha indica is one of the biggest and most diverse, with nearly 450 species. Two thirds of its species are found in America, 19 of them in Venezuala, they are mainly used as ornamental, but with the rising of traditional medicine, these species are given medical properties painkillers, laxatives, anti-inflammatory and many others. The GC-MS analysis of methanol and acetone (70 : 30) extract prepared from the whole plant of Acalypha indica linn. revealed the presence of different phytochemicals.

Abstract
To evaluate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity of methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta in experimental animal models. Methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta (MESA) (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg p.o.) was studied for its anti-inflammatory activity using Carrageenan induced rat paw edema animal model and analgesic activity at the same dose level using acetic acid induced writhing test and Hot plate analgesia in mice. The methanolic extract of whole plant of Sida acuta (MESA) (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg p.o.). The PI with indomethacin and Sida acuta in carrageenan induced paw edema  at the dose level 400 mg/kg were 60% and 52.5% at the end of 5 hr. In the acetic acid induced writhing test, the extract at the dose level 400 mg/kg showed 83.78% inhibition of writhing. In radiant heat tail- flick method the extract  at the dose 400 mg/kg showed reaction time 4.902 ± 0.545 (p<0.001). The methanolic extract possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity.

Introduction
Gene therapy by small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) hasbeen emerging as innovative nucleic acid medicines with increasing knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of endogenous RNA interference. Gene silencingis a promising tool for the treatment of numerous human diseases that cannot be cured by rational therapies. The primary success of siRNA applications depends on suitable vectors to deliver therapeutic genes.

ABSTRACT
Ficus religiosawas investigated for its possible protective effect against paracetamol and CCl4-induced hepatic damage. IV administration of a sub-lethal dose of paracetamol (500 mg/kg) produced liver damage in rats as manifested by the rise in serum level of transaminases (AST and ALT). Ttreatment of rats with Ficus religiosa (200 mg/kg) prevented the paracetamol-induced rise in serum enzymes. The hepatotoxic dose of CCl4 (1.5 ml/kg; orally) also raised the serum AST and ALT levels. The same dose of Ficus religiosa (200 mg/kg) was able to prevent the CCl4-induced rise in serum enzymes. These results indicate that Ficus religiosa possesses hepatoprotective activity.
