It was established in 1946 by the Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science as MACS Research Institute and renamed as ARI in 1992 in honour and memory of its founder Director, late Professor S.P. Agharkar.

    G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. The University was declared as the best among all the other State Universities in India, in 1997. The University lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in the district of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. The university is regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India.

    National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

    Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW/WRITTEN TEST at this Institute on 2nd January, 2014 between 9.30 A.M. and 10.30 A.M. for filling up of One Senior Research Fellowship(Non-Medical) at this Institute.

    National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The institute carries out cutting edge research at the interface of food, nutrition and agricultural biotechnology.

    Applications are invited for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DST sponsored research project in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Programme at NABI.

    The Finishing School certificate course will be of six months duration where 2 months would be devoted to class room lectures and 4 months to hands on training. During 4 months hands on training, the students will work on a project leading to their dissertation. In the end they will submit the report in bound form which will be evaluated by external experts. The students will be required to appear in the examination at the end of the training. The students will visit centers of excellence in city like SGPGI, CDRI, IITR and others for specialized training for 3-5 days whenever required.
