Walk in interview for Junior Research Fellow at ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal Aromatic Plants Research
ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal Aromatic Plants Research (ICAR-DMAPR) is located on Ahmedabad-Mumbai rail route. The centre is 7 km away from Anand Railway station on Anand-Ahmedabad state highway towards Nadiad. Anand is well connected to all parts of the country by road, rail and Air. The nearby airports are at Vadodara (45 km) and Ahmedabad (65 km). The Indian Council of Agricultural Research established Directorate of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants Research (formerly it was National Research Centre for Medicinal & Aromatic Plants) on November 24, 1992 in a 20.2 hectare irrigated land at Boriavi in Anand district of Gujarat.
DST funded Project entitled "Dissection of pathogenesis genes of peronospora plantaginis Underwood, a fungal pathogen causing Isabgol Downy mildew disease."
Junior Research Fellow
Qualifications Essential: Master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Plant Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/Plant Pathology/ Bioinformatics/ Agricultural Biotechnology or related field. or Post Graduate in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master degree with NET qualification.
i) Research experience in Plant Breeding, Plant Microbe Interaction, genome analysis
ii) Basic knowledge of Computer work.
Period of engagement Three years, initially for a period upto 31/03/2018 and will be co-terminated with the termination of the project or earlier based on the performance.
