    ABSTRACT:
The aim of the present study was to prepare and evaluate buccal tablet comprising a drug-containing buccoadhesive layer and a drug-free backing layer, by the direct compression method. The mucoadhesive layer was composed of a mixture of drug, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC K4M), Carbopol 934P (CP), Sodium carboxy methyl cellulose (NaCMC), and the backing layer was made of ethyl cellulose. Enalapril maleate is an ace -inhibitor was formulated onto buccoadhesive tablets to overcome the limitations in the currently available dosage forms and routes of administration which in sequence will increase patient’s compliance. Formulations (F1-F9) were developed and subjected to various evaluation parameters. All tablets were acceptable with regard to thickness, weight variation, hardness, and drug content. Maximum bioadhesive force was observed in tablets formulated using CP-NaCMC as a bioadhesive polymer (F4-F6). Formulation F6 showed maximum permeation of 91.98 % ± 0.58 in 8hr. Formulation F3 showed maximum swelling index of 2.99 ± 0.01 after 8hr. The mucoadhesive force and residence time of the optimized batch F6 are 0.14 N ± 0.01 and 9.10 hrs ± 1.15 respectively. The results indicate that suitable buccoadhesive tablets with desired properties could be prepared.

    ABSTRACT
A traditional but effective method of developing new targets is lead molecule modification, where an existing popular drug from the market is taken as a lead and similar derivatives are synthesized. With the advent of modern techniques conventional methods have lost their gleam but, reactions are still best understood when performed by the conventional techniques. One such endeavor has been made here where indole has been used as a parent moiety and by adding some functional groups some novel indole derivatives were synthesized and screened for their in vitro antitubercular, and anticancer activity. This synthesis of some fresh indole derivatives was done by using various benzaldehyde derivatives and 2-(o-Aminophenyl)indole in acidic condition then with ammonium acetate and isatin in presence of glacial acetic acid.. The structures of newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, MASS and elemental analysis.Compounds 3h & 3i showed good antitubercular activity and 3d, 3e & 3g showed good anticancer compared to the standard drug.

    ABSTRACT
Herbal drugs are traditionally used in various parts of the world to cure different diseases. The Ayurvedic and Siddha medical systems are very famous medical practices in Indian traditional medicines. Over the last few ,researcher have aimed at identifying and validation plant derived substance for the treatment of various disease .similarly it has been already proved that various parts of plants such as leaf, fruits seeds etc.provide heath and nutrition promoting compounds traditional used against various disease. Aegle marmelos have been used in ethno medicine to exploit its’ medicinal properties including astringent, antidiarrheal antidysentric, demulcent, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory activities. The present review aims to complete medicinal values of Aegle marmelos generated through the research activity using modern scientific approaches and innovative scientific tools.

    ABSTRACT:
Medicinal plants have been a major source of therapeutic agents since ancient times to cure human disease. Aloes species (family-Liliaceae) is a widely used herbaceous, shrubby, arborescent, perennial or xerophytic succulents medicinal plant cultivated throughout India and popular in various indigenous system of medicine like Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Tibb. Traditionally the juice of aloe is used as bitter, laxative, purgative and cathartic. They are also useful in jaundice, dyspepsia, piles, skin disease, abotificient, trophic ulcer, wounds healing and many more ailments. The present review is therefore, an effort to give a detailed survey of the literature on pharmacognosy, phytochemistry and pharmacological activities of the plant.

    Abstract
The objective of the present study to investigate the anthelmintic activity of aqueous and ethanolic extract of flower of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. (family: Malvaceae) against Indian earthworms (Pheretima posthuma). The preliminary phytochemical screening of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis showed the presence of sterols, glycosides, alkaloids, proteins, mucilage and flavonoids. Various standards such as Piperazine citrate, Albendazole and Pyrantel pamoate at concentration of 20mg/ml were used to compare anthelmintic activity with the extracts at the same concentration in terms of paralysis time and death time of worms. The result revealed the potential usefulness of aqueous and ethanolic extract of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flower against helminthiasis infection.
