D. Y. Patil University was established in the year 2005, in the name of the great educationist and philanthropist DR. D. Y. PATIL Padma Shree awardee. D.Y. Patil Education Society is the sponsoring society of the University. D. Y. Patil Education Society (Institution Deemed to be University) Kolhapur is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 bearing no. Maharashtra/32907/Kolhapur on 21st November 2013. The sponsoring society started its Medical College in 1989.

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM was founded in 1980 by an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh led by Dr. M.V.V.S.Murthi, Former Member of Parliament and popular philanthropist. Their mission was to set up a world-class technology and management institution in the picturesque city of Visakhapatnam to impart futuristic and comprehensive professional education of global standards with a high sense of discipline and social relevance in a serene and invigorating environment. The avowed objective of GITAM is to train qualified professionals to shoulder the responsibility of contributing to the development of India as a “Knowledge Society”.

Mewar University is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Rajasthan through Act. No. 4 of 2009, passed by the Rajasthan Assembly (Govt. of Rajasthan). The University is further approved by the UGC under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act 1956. The University campus is situated in the vicinity of the scenic Aravali ranges, and it is spread over sprawling 30 acres at Gangrar of Chittorgarh District (Rajasthan), 18 km away from the city of Chittorgarh.
