With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

K.L.E. Society’s College of Pharmacy was established in 1968 in the pleasant environs of J. N. Medical College, Belgaum, with the aim of providing quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The courses started with, Diploma in Pharmacy (1968) followed by B. Pharm (1975), M. Pharm (1988), the Ph. D Programmes (2000), M. Sc. In Clinical Pharmacy (2013) and eventually Pharm. D (2014). The College of Pharmacy is run in a spacious well-equipped building of its own with hostel, library and sports facilities.

Dattakala College of Pharmacy has been established in 2014.The Dattakala Shikshan Sanstha has about 30 acres campus and is situated at Gat No.541 &527, Swami-Chincholi, Tal-Daund, Dist-Pune. Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad has been started in 1996 with the efforts of Honorable Late Shri. Govindbhaiji Shroff as a part of his social obligation to which Marathwada region was awaiting. Initially it has been started as one of the Departments of Government College of Engineering. Subsequently in 1999, it has acquired the status of full-fledged Government College.

Now the college is situated in its status or art building of around 8000 sq. ft. The institute in its short span has established credibility to impart quality education to masses. The institute is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and approved by AICTE and Government of Maharshtra.

Shri Wagheshwar Gramvikas Pratishtan, Mandvagan Pharata was established as an Experimental & Pioneer Institute in the field of rural Education. Shri Wagheshwar Gramvikas Pratishtan is a organization that has been providing services and solutions to problems in rural communities, with the objective of making them self-reliant and sustainable. Presently we offer B.Pharm course under the name of Loknete Shri Dadapatil Pharate College of Pharmacy in the rural area with the aim of imparting value based education with potential of self employment.
