Pt. B.D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak has glorious and illustrious history. It has grown leaps and bounds since then to become the epicentre for patient care from across Haryana as well as neighbouring States. In its nascent stage, Medical College was started as guest Institute in 1960 at Medical College, Patiala. Due to high demand for medical education and a deficient patient care services in the southern part of Haryana which was the then part of Punjab, it was shifted to Rohtak in 1963 during the tenure of Sardar Partap Singh Kairon who was then Chief Minister of Punjab.

Ambe Durga Education society was established in the year 1997. The trust got registration certificate under Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Act, 1950 the registration number are MAH-663/1997 and F-14563 respectively. The vision of society is to provide the basic and higher education in Pharmacy profession to every person. To achieve these goals Ambe Durga Education Society started Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy, in the year 2006 offering a four year Degree course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) with the intake capacity of 60 seats. With the constant quest for excellence, the Dadashab Balpande College of Pharmacy (DBCOP) introduced a Post-Graduate Course in Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) in two specializations (Pharmaceutics and Quality Assurance) in 2012-13 and Diploma in Pharmacy in 2015-16.

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted into an Institute on 26th January 2002. Under the World Bank TEQIP programme, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004. Due to the recommendations of the Government of Maharashtra and the University of Mumbai, the ICT was granted Deemed University Status by the MHRD on 12th September 2008, with all provisions of the UGC for funding and support as the state-owned deemed university.
