Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (RMRIMS), Patna was established in the memory of the First President of Republic of India Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the year 1963 with Asthma as its mandate. It was taken over by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi on 1st April, 1984 under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and thereafter the main thrust area is Visceral Leishmaniasis (Kala-azar).

Government of Gujarat has recognized the importance of the science of biotechnology and its potentiality. With the vision to develop biotechnology sector and to provide global level opportunities, research and development in the state, the government in the year 2004, established Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM) as a state nodal agency dedicated to biotechnology.

Regional Ayurveda Research Institute was initially started with a Unit of Survey of Medicinal Plants and Clinical Research in the year 1971 and it was upgraded to Regional Research Institute in 1979. Further it was renamed as North Eastern India Ayurveda Research Institute in the year 2009 and subsequently it was again renamed as Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Gastro-Intestinal Disorder. The Institute has its own Land and Building.

CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, a unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier scientific organization involved in conducting high quality research in different areas of biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs using medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs). The CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) – is amongst one of the constituent research institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Originally set up as the National Botanic Gardens (NBG) by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), it was taken over by the CSIR in 1953. Though, initially engaged in research in the classical botanical disciplines, the NBG went on laying an increasing emphasis, in keeping with the national needs and priorities in the field of plant sciences, on its applied and developmental research activities.

Mohanlal Sukhadia University (erstwhile Udaipur University) at Udaipur is a State University established by an Act in the year 1962 to cater the needs of higher education in Southern Rajasthan with more then 2.25 Lakh Students. The University is located in Aravalli Hill Area largely dominated by tribal populations. Endowed with rich cultural heritage, natural resources and beautiful landscape, Udaipur is a world renowned tourist attraction.
