G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development (GBPIHED) was established in 1988-89, during the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, as an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Govt.

Shri AMM Murugappa Chettiar Research Centre, popularly known as MCRC, is a non profit research organisation registered under Societies Registration Act (ACT XXI of 1860; S.No. 298; 21st September, 1973, Chennai) with registered office at No.3 old no: 2, Sriram nagar north street, Alwarpet Chennai 600018.

University Campus, Mangalagangotri, is located on a picturesque hillock, spread over 350 acres of land, 18 kms away from Mangalore city. The University has 25 Post-Graduate Departments on the Campus with 195 affiliated colleges/institutions that include 2 constituent, 4 law, 18 education and 5 autonomous colleges. Financial support from different funding agencies for the 29 ongoing Research Projects.

Madurai Kamaraj University, established in 1966, has 18 Schools comprising 73 Departments. The Directorate of Distance Education of the University has a student strength of about 1.30 lakhs. The University has 109 affiliated Colleges (9 Autonomous) including other approved institutions and 7 evening colleges. There are centres which promote research potential of teachers. Extension activities are carried out through Department of Youth Welfare, NSS, SC/ST cell and Adult Education programmes.

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is an autonomous Grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. The TMC is comprised of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH). The TMC conducts Ph.D. program in Life Sciences and Health Sciences and is affiliated to the Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed University). On-going research at TMC includes basic, Epidemiological  and translational work in Cancer.

RPRC is a premier R&D establishment of Govt. of Odisha implementing projects concerning macro and micro propagation of plants, molecular taxonomy, bio-prospecting plant pathology, ethno pharmacology, Orchid Biology, Conservation Biology etc.
