Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar, came into existence, fulfilling the long cherished dream of people of Mahabubnagar dstrict in the 'year 2008, toy Act No 29 of 2008 enacted toy the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh and published In the Andhra Pradesh Gazette on 24th September, 2008. Prior to this, the University was formally launched toy the G O.Ms, No 89, Higher Education (U E ll).

National AIDS Research Institute [NARI] was established in October 1992 in Bhosari, Pune on a seven acre plot. The Institute has progressively expanded its activities in various aspects of research on HIV and AIDS through infra-structural development, capacity building & research programmes. The present infrastructure includes the Institute housed in a 28024 sq. mtr space, residential accomadation for the staff, a power plant to ensure uninterrupted power supply and an incinerator for safe disposal of bio-waste.

JNTBGRI is dedicated to the conservation and sustainable utilization of the Tropical plant genetic resources particularly of Western Ghats of India. Currently the Institute conserves largest number of tropical plant species among the botanic gardens in Asia.
