U.P. Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (UPRVUNL) is a progressive & fast expanding state thermal power generation undertaking having an installed capacity of 3933 MW for thermal generation and proposing to double it within next five years. UPRVUNL is also in joint venture with NTPC in the field of thermal generation and with other states in development of coal mines. On the other hand UP Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (UPJVNL) is a state Hydel generation undertaking having an installed capacity of 526.5 MW for hydro electric generation and proposing to expand by another 100 MW within next three years.

Prior to 1921, there was no Central Authority constituted in the State to advise Government and other Appointing Authorities in the matters of recruitment to the state civil services. Government and Appointing Authorities were making appointments in accordance with the principles laid down by Government from time to time. Through order No. 1827:80 E.A.G.308, dated:16-05-1921, the Government constituted for the first time a central agency for recruitments, named “Central Recruitment Board”. This Board was attached to the office of the Government Secretariat till 1940. Government appointed a Public Service Commissioner for the State in its Order No. 3685-3735-C.B. 103-39-1, dated: 19-01-1940.  The Public Service Commission was constituted under the provisions of the Constitution of India on 18-05-1951. In accordance with the provisions of clause 14 of the Public Service Commission Regulations 1950, the staff of the Public Service Commissioner as it stood on 18-05-1951, was continued as the nucleus of the staff of the Public Service Commission.

Air India had the honour of being the first airline to start commercial operations from the recently opened Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport at Durgapur with a flight connecting Kolkata to Durgapur and back. The inaugural flight was operated by Alliance Air a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India.

Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme (Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.

Kerala State Biodiversity Board is an autonomous body of the State Government and come under the Kerala State Environment Department. With the Head Quarter at Thiruvananthapuram the Board falls under the provision of the Biological Diversity Act 2002, Rules 2004 and Kerala State Biological Diversity Rules 2008.The KSBB is dedicated into conservation and protection of the agro, plant and fish diversity of the State. The Board is headed by a Chairman, a Member Secretary and followed by a team of expert Government officials, leading the Board in its all vibrant activities.

Applications are called for from eligible Government servants for filling up of the following posts in the Kerala State Biodiversity Board on deputation basis.

DTL came into existence on 1st July 2002. It was carved out of Delhi Vidyut Board as a separate entity after restructuring of Power Sector of Delhi and was accorded the status of State Transmission Utility (STU) of Delhi state for all purposes. DTL is to discharge the functions of STU in accordance with the Clause 39(2) of Indian Electricity Act 2003 for transmitting power by establishing and operating efficient and reliable transmission network in the Capital of India.
