Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees.

Braithwaite was established in 1913 as the Indian Subsidiary of Braithwaite & Co. Engineers Limited (U.K.), for undertaking fabrication of Structural Steel Works. The Clive works in Calcutta commenced manufacture of wagons for Indian Railways from 1934.  In the meanwhile the Company was incorporated in erstwhile Bengal as Braithwaite & Co (India) Ltd on February 28, 1930. In the year 1960 Braithwaite's Angus Works located at Bhadreswar, Dist. Hooghly was setup for manufacture of Cranes, Foundry products, Machinery Components etc.

In order to promote medicinal plants sector, the Government of India has set up National Medicinal Plants Board NMPB on 24th November 2000. Currently the board is located in Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The primary mandate of NMPB is to develop an appropriate mechanism for coordination between various ministries/ departments/ organizations in India and implements support policies or programs for overall conservation, cultivation, trade and export) growth of medicinal plants sector both at the Central /State and International level.

Considering the growing impact of Corona (Covid-19) in the state, more officers and staff providing health services to deal with the outbreak-like situation have been appointed at the district hospital, Amravati and taluka level.  Interested candidates for the following posts will be appointed on contract basis till 31st March 2022 or Covid-19 situation comes under control whichever is shorter.

Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) is an extramural unit of Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) and has been established as a not-for-profit society to provide cost affective, high quality preclinical and clinical product development support services to meet the country’s growing healthcare needs. It will tend enterprises; particularly SMEs involved in new technology innovation and facilitate translation of scientific know-how into viable products.

The following posts under District Health Society, District Panchayat, Bharuch are to be filled on the basis of 11 months. Eligible candidates should be present for open interview at the office of the Chief District Health Officer, Health Branch, District Panchayat, Bharuch, including face to face application for copies of Certificates of Eligibility.  In addition, original credentials must be presented for verification during the walk-in interview.
