The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) was established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is now accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. It is credited with highest per capita research funding. The university has a mission of providing wide range of instructional and research facilities across integrated and cross-disciplines, promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, and cross-pollinate new ideas, new technologies and new world-views. It aims to create an ignited workforce responsive to regional, national and global needs in tune with the requirements of academia, industry and business. The university started in a three-room Camp Office provided by the state administration in March 2009. Making a modest but speedy start, the university accepted on rent, a dilapidated campus of 37 acres of an abandoned co-operative spinning mill on Mansa Road, Bathinda.

Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research. A little more than 50 years since its inception, today, CIMAP has extended its wings overseas with scientific collaboration agreements with Malaysia.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants of different level/JRF/RA-Projects on contract basis in the Projects under CSIR Network Scheme, Grant-in-aid Projects and other projects sponsored by Govt. Agencies tenable at CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow.

CEPS established under the aegis of GGSIP University is engaged in research in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacology/Microbiology & Bioethics. CEPS is looking for meritorious young researchers for pursuing research in the area of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Detection, Isolation, Structural Elucidation & Biological Screening.

Govt. of Himachal Pradesh took up initiative in early seventies to set up a CSIR lab to make prudential use of the natural resources of the region. After several levels of discussions a formal request was made by then Chief Minister of HP to Vice President, CSIR in 1982 for initiating the matter, and giving final shape to the proposal. The dream of HP government finally came true in 1983 when the foundation stone of this National lab was laid as CSIR Complex Palampur by Prof. Nurul Hasan, former Vice President of CSIR, with then Chief Minister of HP chairing the function.

National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) had been set up in 1992 as an apex autonomous Institute under the administrative control of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India for promoting and protecting human health through various activities assigned to it. The mandate of the Institute includes ensuring provision of quality biological drugs i.e Invitro diagnostics, Vaccines and Biotherapeutics, including therapeutic monoclonal antibodies used by patients suffering from cancer and autoimmune diseases by undertaking high end science based testing with R&D interface for application of science.
