Jiwaji University was established as a teaching and affiliating University on 23rd May 1964, under the provision of M. P. Government Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishanan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone of the University Campus on 11th December 1964
Right from its inception, Jiwaji University started with a status of a residential and an affiliating University. The territorial jurisdiction of the affiliation extends to six districts of Gwalior and Chambal Division, viz., Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Guna, Shivpuri and Datia. To begin with, the University had a total of 29 affiliated colleges. Those have steadily increased to more than 100 colleges. Till date of 26 Government and 7 non-Government colleges impart teaching up to postgraduate level. Some of the colleges have also developed into recognized research centers.

Established in 2004, the college offers undergraduate course in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Post Graduate courses in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. KCP has strong research foundation with AICTE funded Research Projects, Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC1 and DST Projects by Govt, of Rajasthan. Five batches of BPharm. and one batch of M.Pharm. have already passed from the college. The college provide most effective teaching learning environment using latest teaching aid and equipments. The college is approved centre for guiding research in the area of Pharmaceutical Science.

COLLEGE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, Berhampur, Mohuda, is the oldest self financing pharmacy institution in East India established in the year 1979 by Ganjam & Phulbani Chemists & Druggists Association (GPCDA) with an aim to generate technical human resource in the realm of Pharmacy to cater to the requirement of pharmaceutical industries in global perspective.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University is a public university in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India, founded on July 25, 1981. The University is named after a patron of learning and the arts, Sri Krishnadevaraya, of the Vijayanagara empire of the 16th century. Situated in rural environs in an extensive campus of over 500 acres (2.0 km2) of land, the University has ample scope for development.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’.
