    CSIR - Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector-39/A, Chandigarh intends to engage Project Assistant, JRF (Project) on purely temporary basis on contract under DBT, DST, CSIR & Industry sponsored project at IMTECH. Besides following positions, a General Panel of Project Assistants, JRF (Project) & Research Intern will be finalized from amongst candidates for future requirements, which will be valid for one year or till finalization afresh panel. However, the number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement of the Institute.

  • ICMR JRF Entrance Examination 2017

    ICMR JRF Examination is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/    Research Programme through council's support. Test for ICMR JRF fellowship are conducted at the 12 centres viz. Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Srinagar and Varanasi once a year.  The award of JRF is made on merit basis by holding an entrance examination after issuing a countrywide admission notice.  The admission notice is published in leading English Newspapers of India usually during March/April and  also on the website. The entrance examination is usually held in the first/second week of July.

  • Vacancy at IHBT for various research projects | Walk in

    Govt. of Himachal Pradesh took up initiative in early seventies to set up a CSIR lab to make prudential use of the natural resources of the region. After several levels of discussions a formal request was made by then Chief Minister of HP to Vice President, CSIR in 1982 for initiating the matter, and giving final shape to the proposal. The dream of HP government finally came true in 1983 when the foundation stone of this National lab was laid as CSIR Complex Palampur by Prof. Nurul Hasan, former Vice President of CSIR, with then Chief Minister of HP chairing the function.
