In 2014, a Core Committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of Dr. VM Katoch by the Indian Health Ministry to revise National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM), 2011. In the process of revision of NLEM, several consultations were held across the country with experts from different domains.

The Annamalai University is a unitary, teaching, and residential university. It was founded by the munificence of the farsighted and noble hearted philanthropist and patron of letters the late Hon’ble Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad, Kt, LL.D., D.Litt. He started several colleges, and ultimately, the University in 1929. Since its inception, it has progressively tried to realize the aims of the noble Founder Pro-Chancellor. After him, his illustrious son, Padma Bhushan Dr. Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar of Chettinad, was the Pro-Chancellor from 1948 to 1984, and he sedulously nurtured the growth and development of the University. Applications are invited for the following posts for the project titled “Impact of Pregnancy on Tuberculosis” funded by U.S National Institutes of Health (NIH) by the Department of Preventive & Social Medicine, JIPMER, Puducherry.

British Council, India in collaboration with Department of Science and technology (DST) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT), India are pleased to invite applications for funding to support short-term PhD placements between the UK and Indian institutions.
The programme will sponsor UK and Indian PhD scholars to spend a period of their study (2 to 4 months) in Indian and UK higher education institutions between April to December 2017. Through this opportunity, scholars will learn new research skills or techniques, develop international training pathways, access facilities or resources which may not be readily available in their home country and build relationships with potential new collaborators, including industry partners where relevant.
