Rajahmundry, thousands of years’ history behind, where Adikavi Nannayya wrote the greatest epic Mahabharata in Telugu from the banks of holy river Godavari, is now having another feather in its cap with the establishment of VJ’s College of Pharmacy, from the academic year 2007-08. The college is offering B.Pharmacy(100 seats) at UG level and M.Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical technology (15 seats), Pharmaceutical Analysis (15 seats) and Pharmacology (15 seats) at PG level with all necessary approvals from AICTE - NewDelhi, PCI - NewDelhi, AP State Government and the college is affiliated to Andhra University.    The college is situated in a serene 2 acre lushgreen campus at Diwancheruvu, with a state-of-the art facilities. It is the only pharmacy college in Andhra established and run by experienced pharmacy professionals; with unique features like, multimedia lecture halls, automated digital library, highly ventilated & sophisticated laboratories with adequate equipment and furniture. To instill better education the campus has wi-fi facility with ultra modern computer lab.

The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008.
