Pharmacology

Principal K.M.Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai was established in 1971 under the aegis of Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, Mumbai. The management belongs to Sindhi Minority community and has obtained the minority status for its institutions from the Hon' Bombay High Court in 1989 and interim orders for Prin.K.M.Kundnani College of Pharmacy from Hon' Supreme Court effective 1994. Prin.K.M.Kundnani College of Pharmacy is situated in the prime area of the busy, commercial metropolis, Mumbai and located near the expanse of Arabian sea at Cuffe Parade, Colaba next to Sasson Dock on Shree Rambhau Salgaonkar Road. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai.

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission(IPC) is an Autonomous Body ,set up under the ministry of Health & family Welfare primarily with the objective of periodically updating of the Indian Pharmacopoeia, the book of standards for the drugs; the National Formulary of India, the book of reference on the Drugs; and other related tasks such as preparing, certification and distribution of reference substance; assist the National Pharmacovigilance Programme; testing of new drugs and review of technical dossier of drugs for purpose of monograph development for Indian Pharmacopoeia. It promotes rational use of medicines through generic prescriptions. The IPC on path of evolving as a modern scientific institution of international standard

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), Govt. of India, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and Sun Pharma (Reuters: SUN.BO, Bloomberg: SUNP IN, NSE: SUNPHARMA, BSE: 524715, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd and includes its subsidiaries or associate companies), today, announced India’s first public-private-partnership agreement for Malaria Free India and other innovation in preventive health. This was announced by Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Director General –  ICMR, Principal Secretary Health Mrs. Gauri Singh Govt of Madhya Pradesh and Dilip Shanghvi, Managing Director, Sun Pharma as a unique effort to draw public – private sector collaboration in promoting  preventive health measures. The publicprivate-partnership stakeholders will jointly undertake malaria control & elimination programme by setting-up Management & Technical Committees to provide oversight for disease surveillance & elimination.

Following  posts  are  to  be  filled  up  on  purely  tempo rary  basis  at  the  Medicinal  Plant  Division, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi in the project “Review Monographs on Indian  Medicinal Plants Phase- IV”and “Quality Standards o f Indian Medicinal plants”.

An institution under the aegies of Azad Educational Society (AES). The AES was established and registered in September 1991 under the Society Registration Act 1860. AIPR was established in the year 2005 with the Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and was further elevated to offer post-graduate courses in pharmacy (M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy) with an independent campus located in a lush green picturesque landscape ideal for study and research.

As a tribute to the founder Dr. Sam Higginbottom, who through his sincere services, hard work and dedication has contributed greatly towards enhancing the agriculture production in our Country, a proposal was submitted to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi to re-christened Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as “Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences”. In view of the above, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi vide communication bearing reference No. F.13-7/2008-U.3.A, dated September 22, 2009 has permitted Re-Christening of the Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as: “SAM HIGGINBOTTOM INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE, TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCES” (Formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute), (Deemed-to-be-University).
