Smt. Sharadchandrika Suresh Patil College of Pharmacy Chopda was established in 1992 as self financed pharmacy college in the North Maharashtra University, (NMU) Jalgaon. The institution has made a steady progress during last 24 years. In the year 2006 with the intention of making this institution a centre of higher learning, started M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics (2006) later M. Pharm in Pharmacognosy (2007) and centre for Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2011). All the courses conducted in this Institution are recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. B. Pharm., M. Pharm. and Ph. D. courses are affiliated to North Maharashtra University, (NMU) Jalgaon. Recently (2014) Institute has been certified An ISO 9001-2008 for quality management services as well as B. Pharmacy Course NBA Accreditation by New Delhi.

Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was the visionary who conceptulised the Indian Nuclear Programme and along with a handful of Scientists initiated the nuclear science research in India in March, 1944. He envisaged the vast potential of nuclear energy and its possible successful utilization in the field of power generation and allied areas. Dr. Bhabha started working with the goal of achieving self reliance in the fields of nuclear science and engineering and today’s Department of Atomic Energy which is a consortium of different and diversified fields of science and engineering is the final outcome of the farsighted planning of Dr. Bhabha.
