The Union Public Service Commission commonly abbreviated as UPSC, is Indias premier central recruiting agency. It is responsible for appointments to and examinations for All India services and group A & group B of Central services. The AIIMS, New Delhi model will be adopted and adapted. Unlike the Postgraduate Institutes which lack the basic departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology etc, the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as the superspecialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology etc.
