Desert Medicine Research Centre, Jodhpur is a one of the 32 Institutes/ Centers of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under the Department of Health Research, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas.

The TMC conducts Ph.D. program in Life Sciences and Health Sciences and is affiliated to the Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed University).
