Its impact lasts for about 25 minutes and it prevents skin from dehydrating,” said Dr (Prof.) S K Barik, Director, NBRI. In clinical trials done on the pathogen (Staphylococus epidermidis) harmful to human skin and found on surfaces, the herbal sanitizer has been found to be effective.

The know-how of the product and the technology has been transferred to M/s. Sadguru Biologicals Pvt. Ltd, Lucknow. Dr Barik said that the product will be available in the market soon under the brand name of ‘Clean Hand Gel’ as given by the company.
