Mumbai based dentist Dr Gaurav Borde has come up with a free android app, Dentimes, which is currently providing a one-stop solution for not only professional consultation online but also been able to enhance employment prospects for the dentists and dental surgeons.

Dentimes has provided more than 5000 jobs for dentists all over the globe. It has also tied up with the website healthmantra.com, where users can post job advertisements. The app, which was launched recently has been downloaded by 14,000 people till now. It includes news related to latest developments in the field, articles published by dentists across the country and abroad, as well as a classifieds section for dentists. App has all the latest information in the field in one easy to access place.

Dentimes founded by Dr Gaurav Borde and co- founded by Dr Swapnil Nangare and Dr Zoaib Sayyed now has a new team of professionals which includes Dr Sudhanshu Yadav, Dr Kanish Aggarwal, Dr Santtokh Singh, Dr Tariq Farooqui in association with Dental Surgeon Association of India (DSAI) and magazine partner Guident. Dr Sumant Goel is the chief editor.

Hiring an expert to create the app would have cost around Rs. 11 lakh. So, four to five months before launching the app, Dr Borde learnt to code, use java, create a logo and everything required to make the app from Google. Besides "News" and "Classifieds", there is an "Updates" section which informs of upcoming events. The "We Talk" section has research papers, while the "Support" section allows users to chat.

The app intends to initially tap the universe of mobile users and internet savvy people with a distinct value proposition of offering information about dentists delivered in quickest possible time while providing ease and convenience that comes with mobile and internet. This will not only increase business but also generate employment opportunities in the country.
