Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha was founded in the year 1983 by a creative and dynamic visionary, Dr. Satish Chaturvedi. With his strong will, commitment, strength, determination and strategic support of Smt. Abhatai Chaturvedi, the Sanstha has developed from its humble beginning into a mammoth entity. The mission of Sanstha is enlightened by the magnanimous mathematician, educationist and social reformer, Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak, who fought throughout his life for the cause of development of the society at large by rendering educational services from pre-primary stage to the higher levels of professional education. With as many as 28 different educational institutions under its fold, it is one of the largest organisations devoted to uplifting the masses by providing education to all.

NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA) had successfully conducted the GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST - 2019 (GPAT-2019) for admission to various M. pharma or its equivalent courses across the country. The 800 participating institutes of GPAT-2019 were the institutions which had accepted the GPAT Score.

The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).
