The successful candidate will have experience to design, conduct and interpret lab experiments to evaluate biotherapeutic disposition in pre-clinical models, and provide leadership to advance science related to ADME properties of novel biologics.

Candidate will be responsible for establishing methodology for predictive and investigative in vivo disposition, elucidating clearance mechanisms and tissue targeting, and evaluating disposition of novel platforms and scaffolds as well as delivery technologies for biologics. Candidate will develop partnerships in a matrix environment, influence project strategies, and provide leadership in ADME technology development and implementation. Candidate will work in collaboration with biotherapeutic formulation science, global biological technologies, PDM NBE principle investigators and NBE PKPD and bioanalytical scientists to advance the knowledge and optimization of biotherapeutic biodistribution and disposition kinetics.

PhD level education with >3 years post-doctoral or industry experience in cell biology, in vivo disposition kinetics or relevant scientific field; Extensive experience in drug discovery/development of biopharmaceuticals.
Broad understanding and skill in areas of in vitro and in vivo laboratory techniques, ideally related to biotherapeutics (e.g. protein chemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, target binding, evaluation of inter-molecular interactions, use of sub cellular fraction, radiolabel studies, flow cytometry, biotherapeutic characterization technologies including chromatographic and electrophoretic, immunochemical and hybridization methods etc).
Experience in evaluating ADME of siRNA and oligonucleotide therapeutics is preferred.
Experience in evaluating alternative delivery approaches for biotherapeutics (e.g. pegylation, liposomal or polymeric, extended half-life or local retention) is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to integrate data from multiple sources into a rational understanding of distribution and clearance properties of biotherapeutics
Proven track record of influencing projects and project teams, particularly in areas of emerging science and achieving results in a matrix environment.
Proven presentation skills. Demonstrated through internal and external presentations on own work at conferences.
Proven track record in mentoring and coaching
Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a complex, multi-discipline organizational model.
