G. T. B. Hospital is the prestigious and largest Hospital of Govt. of NCT of Delhi in the Trans-Yamuna Area(East Delhi) with 1000 beds capacity.
It is a teaching hospital associated with the   University College of Medical Science, University of Delhi and, therefore, also serves as a training center for undergraduate and   post-graduate medical students.
The hospital is providing health care facilities   to the needy population of East Delhi and adjoining areas of other states with   an average daily OPD attendance of about 4000 patients. The hospital is equipped with Round the clock emergency service in common clinical disciplines. Neurosurgery facilities for road side accident and other trauma victims.

Applications are invited in prescribed proforma for filling up of 120 posts of Staff Nurse and 06 posts of Pharmacist purely on contract basis. The appointment is purely on contract basis initially for a period of eleven months or till regular appointment is made through D.S.S.S.B whichever is earlier. The candidates may submit their application form duly filled in on the prescribed proforma on or before closing date 03/07/2012. Required Qualification
1. Matriculation or its equivalent.
2. ‘A’ Grade certificate in Nursing from recognized institution.
3. Certificate in Midwifery
4. Should be able to speak/understand Hindi.
5. Should be registered with Nursing Council of any State of India before closing date.

Terms and Conditions
1. The appointment is purely on contract basis initially for period of eleven months or till regular appointment is made through D.S.S.S.B, whichever is earlier. This will not vest any right to claim for regular appointment in the hospital or for continued contractual appointment.
2. The prescribed qualifications are minimum and possessing of same does not entitle any candidate for selection. Selection will be on the basis of marks of interview, merits obtained.
3. The candidates will be required to submit attested photocopies of their age, caste, educational & technical qualifications etc. as required along with the application form.
4. Number of posts in both the categories may vary depending on the requirement.
5. A consolidated remuneration of minimum Basic Pay + Grade Pay + Dearness Allowance (Dearness Allowance as applicable) in the pay band applicable, will be paid for each completed Calendar month and any period of less then one month; the payment will be made on pro-rata basis. No other service benefits, allowances are admissible.
6. The contract can be cancelled before its expiry without assigning any reason by giving one month notice by either party.
7. Leave entitlement will be two and half days earned leave for each completed Calendar month. No other leave will be admissible.
8. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH and Ex-SM candidates will be given as admissible as per rules. Candidates seeking benefits of reservation under these categories should produce the relevant certificate (issued before the date of submission of application) issued by the competent authority. In case of OBCs, the OBC certificate should be issued by Competent Authority of GNCT of Delhi only.
9. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for interview.
10. The application form in the prescribed proforma can be downloaded from the hospital’s website http://www.gtbh.delhigovt.nic.in and submitted in the Office of Medical Supdt. at above mentioned address on or before the closing date i.e., 03/07/2012 upto 3.00 PM.
11. In case the candidate is already employed, he/she should submit the NOC from the present employer.
12. The candidates should not have been convicted by any court of law.
13. Canvassing in any form will render the candidates disqualified for the post.
14. If any declaration/information furnished is found false or any material/fact suppressed willfully the contractual appointment will be terminated forthwith.
15. The decision of the Selection Board regarding selection of the candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
16. In case of any dispute the legal jurisdiction will be Delhi only.
17. The candidates while appearing for interview will produce all original documents alongwith one number of attested photocopies of all testimonials/certificates, and one colour passport size photograph.
18. Last date of receipt of application is 03/07/2012.
19. No application received after due date will be entertained. The Hospital will not be responsible for any postal delay.
20. The Scheduled Date of Interview will be displayed on Notice Board and Hospital’s website. Candidates are advised to consult the same and no request for change of date of interview will be entertained. No further correspondence for information of interview or any other will be issued.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
(1) OPENING & CLOSING DATES, TIME, PLACE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
(i) The opening date for receipt of application is 12/06/2012. The closing date is 03/07/2012. Application will be received in the hospital at room no. 340 , Establishment-II, 3rd floor, Administrative Block between 10:00 A.M. to 3.00 P.M. on all working days (except Saturdays, Sundays & Gazetted Holidays). In case the closing date happens to be a public holiday the next working day will be the last date for receiving of applications. Applications received before the opening date or after the closing date SHALL NOT be entertained under any circumstances. Applications sent through post should also reach the Hospital’s office on or before the closing date and time mentioned above. The hospital will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss.
(ii) The complete application form duly filled in along with photocopies of relevant documents/certificates etc duly attested by a Gazetted Officer can be delivered personally at the address as mentioned above, as per the time prescribed above. The complete application forms can also be sent by Post, addressed to The Medical Superintendent, GuruTeg Bahadur Hospital, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Dilshad Garden, Delhi - 110095 along with all necessary enclosures and two self addressed envelopes to reach the office on or before the closing date and time mentioned above. Candidate must superscribe the Post name on top of the Envelope while sending the application form.
(iii) Applicants claiming age relaxation should enclose photo copies of necessary documents in support of such claim duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. Age relaxation is not applicable to candidates belonging to reserved category applying against Un Reserved posts.
(iv) The hospital reserves the right to reject the candidature of any ineligible candidate at any stage of contract recruitment.
(v) The vacancies are provisional and liable to vary. In case the vacancy position is reduced to any number or even nil, the hospital is not liable to compensate the applicant for any consequential damage/ loss.

DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM
All candidates must attach the following documents along with the Application Form:
(a) Two recent passport size coloured photographs (front face) with light background out of which one should be pasted (not stapled or tagged) on the space provided in the application form. The second copy of the same photograph should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and be attached carefully with the application form for the purpose of identification of the candidate at any stage of recruitment.
(b) All candidates must attach the photo copies of the following documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the Application Form:
(i) Matriculation/Secondary certificate or equivalent in support of their declaration of age.
(ii) Degree or Diploma or other certificates in support of claim of educational qualifications (copies of ALL THE YEARWISE MARKS-SHEET) from Matriculation onwards, experience(if any), age-relaxation etc.
(iii) Community/Category Certificate/Physically Handicapped/ Ex-Servicemen Certificate issued by notified/competent authorities as per the prescribed format, if benefit is claimed under any of the above categories. In case of OBC candidate that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer on the crucial date, in addition to the OBC community certificate issued to him/her on or before the crucial date.
(iv) Registration certificate with concerned state council wherever necessary.
