Application are invited from eligible candidates for the selection of a suitable candidate on deputation/short term/contract for a period of 5 years or upto the date of retirement of the incumbent, whichever is earlier, for the post of Director in National Institute of Unani Medicine(NIUM), Bangalore an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi in the Pay Scale of Rs.37400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs.10000 + NPA and other usual allowances admissible as per Central Government Rules.

The details regarding the age limit, educational qualification experience etc. required for the post of are as under:
Maximum Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years.

Eligibility: Officer of the Central / State Govt. /Autonomous Bodies/Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings

Essential Qualifications
1. Post Graduate Degree in Unani Medicine included in the Schedule of IMCC Act 1970.
2. Enrollment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine.
3. 20 years service in Group-A level post having a minimum of 3 years PG teaching.
(i) In a posts with 3 years regular service in PB-4 and GP of Rs.8700 as a Professor or equivalent corresponding pay scales as applicable to the posts
or
(ii) 8 years regular service in a post in PB-3 and GP of Rs.7600 as Professor/Reader/Associate Professor or equivalent /corresponding pay scales as applicable to the post.

Desirable
1. Administrative experience in the field of Unani System of Medicine in Central/State Government/Autonomous Bodies.
2. Ph.D in Unani Medicine; and
3. Publications of original articles in peer reviewed journals/books on Unani system of medicine.

The eligible and interested persons may send their applications in the prescribed format through proper channel so as to reach the department (addressed to Shri P.K.Jha, Director, Room No.223, Indian Red Cross Society, Annexe Building, Indian Red Cross Road, New delhi- 110001) within 30 days from the date of appearing of the advertisement in the newspapers. No advance application will be entertained. While forwarding the application, the sponsoring authority may ensure that the particulars of the candidate are verified and that he/she fulfills the eligibility conditions along with a certificate to the effect that the officer is free from vigilance angle and no disciplinary proceeding is pending or contemplated against the officer. Complete ACR Dossier of the applicant must be enclosed with the application.

The crucial date for working out the eligibility of the candidates shall be the last date for submission of application i.e. with 30 days from the date of appearing of the advertisement in the news papers.

Government of India, Department of AYUSH resolves the right not to fill up the post without assigning any reason thereof. Applications received late or incomplete, shall be summarily rejected. Applicants are fully responsible for the accuracy of the information they furnish. Any information furnished by the candidates, if found wrong, at any stage will result in his/her disqualification of the candidature and/or dismissal from the service.

Application once received through proper channel shall not be allowed to withdraw.
