Qualifications :
Essential
i. MBBS degree recognized by MCI with 2 years experience or equivalent degree from a recognized University
Or
First Class Master’s Degree in Pharmacology/ related Life Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.
ii. Four years R&D experience in the area of Pharmacological/ Toxicological/Clinical evaluation of Drugs/Devices/Vaccines/Biotech Products after obtaining essential qualification (i)
Desirable
i. MD in Pharmacology or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacology or related Life Sciences with first class relevant degree
ii. Additional post doctoral research experience in Pharmacology/Toxicology from recognized institute (s)
iii. Knowledge of computer applications or Business Intelligence Tools/ Data Management.
Job Requirement :
The incumbent will assist in the area of drug development initiatives of the country. He/She will be required to prepare summary notes after in depth perusal of data furnished by the applicants for approval of Phase I clinical trial for an Investigational New Drug (IND) or New Chemical Entity (NCE) as well as Phase II and III clinical trials. Any other assignment in the area of Pharmacology and Toxicology .
The successful candidate is expected to have conducted good quality original research as evidenced by publications in indexed scientific journals; have scientific communication skills (verbal and written) as evidenced by presentations made and papers published at National and International level and have working knowledge of computer applications; The candidate should be able to work in a team.
Age limit:
Not exceeding 40 years. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time this regard.
Remuneration : Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
General information/instructions
The post is purely temporary and extendable on six months basis. The appointment, is terminable with one-month notice from either side. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR. No other benefits including benefits of House Rent Allowance, Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, medical claim etc. are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview, joining or termination of the services.
