Career for Pharma and Science candidates as Research Manager at NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-Guwahati) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of Parliament. The Institute intends to fill the following position on a contractual basis through Online/Physical interviews.

Post : Research Manager - Scientific (Contractual)

Remuneration per month : Rs. 1,25,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Department : Central Instrumentation Facility, Centre of Excellence

Essential Qualification : MSc./ MPharm from recognised University/Institute.
Experience : Minimum 10 (Ten) years of experience in research/teaching/industry and established reputation of having made conspicuous seminal contribution to knowledge in Pharmaceutical and allied areas.

Desirable Qualification :
• Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience in handling HPLC/LCMS/ GCMS/cell culture, immunological assays, or molecular diagnostics and in vivo models and maintenance of instruments.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and official ISO laboratory accreditations will be an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to the candidate who has experience in Project Management.

Max. age : Not more than 40 years
Duration : Initial engagement of 11 months, may be extended based on performance.

Terms and Conditions & Selection Process
1. The engagement will be purely on contract basis, and the Director of the Institute reserves the right to terminate your services without assigning any reasons thereof. However, the engagement will be terminable from either side, with three months’ notice or salary in lieu of.
2. The Institute reserves the right to act and take decisions deemed fit, in all matters relating to (i) eligibility; (ii) tenure; (iii) acceptance or rejection of the application; (iv) incomplete or incorrect information (if any) furnished by the applicant; (v) shortlisting and selection. No request or correspondence of any kind in this regard would be entertained.
3. Incomplete application or applications not accompanied by relevant supporting documents (self-attested copies of proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, certificates, mark sheets, experience certificates, etc.) shall be rejected.
4. The Institute reserves the right to modify, cancel, or add any eligibility criteria, method of selection, or terms of appointment at any stage.
5. In case of any dispute regarding interpretation of clauses in any version of this advertisement other than English, the English version available on the Institute’s website shall prevail.
6. Any legal dispute arising out of this advertisement or the recruitment process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Guwahati.
7. Applications will be scrutinized, and short-listing will be carried out based on the relevant work experience and knowledge of the relevant domains.
8. Shortlisted candidates shall then be invited for an interview (walk-in or online interview) by the Selection Committee.
9. In all matters of recruitment such as screening, shortlisting, selection, fixation of salary etc., the interpretation and decision of the Competent (Appointing) Authority of the Institute shall be final and binding.
10. Allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, LTC Bonus, Medical Allowance, CCA etc. shall not be entitled.

11. Any retirement/terminal benefits will not be entitled after completion of contract period or otherwise.
12. Leave will be admissible as per rules adopted by the Institute for contractual employees, as amended from time to time.
13. No one has the right to claim for a permanent position at the Institute in future through this contractual engagement.
