ABSTRACT
Stomach specific mucoadhesive drug delivery system(MADDS) is one of the most prominent and latest system which sustain drug blood concentration and controlling the rate of drug delivery to the target tissue. These systems interact with mucin molecule and mucous layer covering the mucosal epithelial surface and prolong the residence time of the dosage form at the site of application or absorption and thus contribute to improve or better therapeutic performance of drug. This review article also present the polymer used for preparation of mucoadhesive tablet, mechanism of mucoadhesion, factor affecting mucoadhesion and recent developments or techniques in formulation of mucoadhesive tablet and invitro and invivo evaluation of mucoadhesive tablets.

The patient can order medicines from their own home in privacy.

The Tuberculosis Research Centre (TRC), a permanent institute under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), is an internationally recognized institution for Tuberculosis (TB) research. It is a Supranational Reference Laboratory and a WHO Collaborating Centre for TB Research and Training. Recently, an International Centre for Excellence in Research (ICER) in collaboration with NIH was established at the Centre.

Recognising the high incidence of tuberculosis around Dharmasthala, a modern TB Sanatorium was established at Laila under the aegis of the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Medical Trust. Now it has been turned into a general hospital since April 2003 as private institutions are not allowed to treat tuberculosis patients.

QSAR has been applied extensively and successfully over several decades to find predictive models for activity of bioactive agents. QSAR have brought revolution in drug discovery process by thedevelopment of mathematicalrelationships linking chemical structures and pharmacological activity in quantitative manner of series of compound. The mathematical relationships between molecular descriptors and activity are used to find the parameters affecting the biological activity and/or estimate the property of other molecules. Description of the molecular structure, electronic orbital reactivity and the role of structural and steric components have been the subject of mathematical and statistical analysis. This review seeks to provide an evolution of QSAR and development of receptor theory.
