In election of pharmacy council of India, Dr. Montu Patel is elected as president of PCI. Dr. Montu Patel is became the youngest president of PCI.
In Oct 2021, Dr. Montukumar Patel who is also president of Gujarat State Pharmacy council, has won the election of executive member in PCI. Dr. Montukumar Patel was elected unopposed as executive member. He was also became youngest president of Gujarat State Pharmacy Council few years back.
In Nov 2021, Dr. B Suresh resigned as PCI president. Dr Suresh has been the president of the Council for the last 18 years.
After that Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Yeole VC, BAMU became acting president of PCI till election of new president of PCI.
Recently, under leadership of Dr. Montukumar Patel, Gujarat State Pharmacy Council became the first paperless registration council of India. GSPC is able to start all its working and various services online which includes fresh registration, renewal services, digilocker services, payment services etc.
