Walk in interview for Junior Research Fellow at IVRI | M.Pharm, M.Sc

Established in 1889, the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is one of the premier research institutions dedicated to livestock research and development of the region. The institute with faculty strength of more than 275 has a major mandate of research, teaching, consultancy and technology transfer activities. The institute with its long scientific heritage has always enjoyed a certain prestige, a tradition all of its own. The institute imparts quality post-graduate education to students not only from various parts of the country, but also from overseas.

A walk in interview is scheduled at the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Institute on 21-12-2018 at 10:30 AM for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow in DST funded project entitled ‘Pharmacodynamic modulation of cardiac angiotensin and adrenergic signaling in arsenic-exposed rats’. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis, co-terminus with the project.

Qualifications:
Essential: M.Pharm or M.Tech/M.Sc. in life sciences (NET qualification is essential for M.Sc Candidates).
or
M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pharmacology/Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology/ allied disciplines of Veterinary and Animal Sciences/ Graduate degree in professional courses with NET qualification.

Desirable:
• Working knowledge in molecular biology techniques such as q-PCR, Western blot, ELISA and Isolated organ experiments etc.
• Handling and management of laboratory rats.
• Knowledge in computer application and data management.

Emoluments: Rs.25,000 per month plus HRA admissible as per DST norms.

Age limit: 35 years (relaxation admissible for women candidates as per Govt. of India norms).

Duration/Period of the project: up to July, 2021
