The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Online applications are invited for the following posts under the ICMR, New Delhi-funded project, purely on a temporary basis in the Department of Experimental Medicine & Biotechnology, and Department of Nephrology, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Projects : 1. Refining kidney function assessment in Indians: Towards accurate estimation of glomerular filtration rate in clinical practice (PI: Dr Ashok Yadav, Department of Experimental Medicine & Biotechnology, PGIMER, Chandigarh)
2. Biomarkers for prediction and early diagnosis of Heart Failure in Chronic Kidney Disease (PI: Dr Vivek Kumar, Department of Nephrology, PGIMER, Chandigarh)
Project Research Scientist - II (Medical) - 01 Post
Qualification : 1. MBBS / BVSc / BDS with three years’ post qualification experience. Or
2. MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD/MVSc./ MDS/MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG degrees. Or 3. MBBS/BVSc/ BDS with PhD
Remuneration per month (consolidated) : 80000/- + HRA, as admissible
Project Research Scientist - II (Non-Medical) - 02 posts
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years post qualification Experience or PhD
Remuneration per month (consolidated) : 67000/- + HRA, as admissible
Project Research Scientist - I (Non-Medical) - 02 posts
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees
Remuneration per month (consolidated) : 56000/- + HRA, as admissible
Project Technical Support - III (02 posts)
Qualification : Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject / field + three Years post qualification experience or PG in relevant subject / field.
Remuneration per month (consolidated) : 28000/- + HRA, as admissible
