Job Description : Should be capable of carrying out cell biology experiments in human cells, animal models, biochemistry, molecular biology and imaging.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per Month : Rs 58,000 + 27% HRA (as per DST guidelines)
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M. Pharm/ME/M. Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualifications : Has at least one first author publication where the candidate has worked on human cells, animal models, biochemistry, molecular biology and imaging.
Nature of Duty : The candidate will be expected to shuttle between collaborating labs, willingness to stay out of Bengal for some period to do animal experiments, cell biology, molecular biology and biochemical assays in labs of collaborators.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per Month : Rs. 37,000/-+ 27% HRA (as per DST guidelines)
Essential Qualifications : 1.Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Candidates have to qualify any National Eligibility Tests – CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Desirable Qualifications : Prior exposure to bulk and single cell genomics experimental and/or data analysis methods, R and UNIX.
Nature of Duty : Conduct experiments and data analysis in bulk and single cell genomics, other relevant project work, manuscript writing and report generation.
1. This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon performance and requirements of the project.
