The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.

Applications are invited for the following temporary post in an ICMR funded project entitled, “Targeting stem-like autoimmune progenitor CD8+ T cells using antagonists against key transcription factors: A novel approach in immunotherapy of type-1 diabetes” under Dr. Naresh Sachdeva, Professor, Department of Endocrinology, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Qualification : First Class Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry or, Second Class Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry with PhD.
Desirable : Experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology with Publications in indexed journals.
Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified for National Research Fellowship examinations (CSIR-UGC NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/DST-INSPIRE etc.)
Upper Age limit : 35 years on the date of interview.
Emoluments per month : Rs 56,000 + 20% HRA
