Opportunity for M.Pharm, MSc to work in an ICMR funded project at PGIMER

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the post of Scientist-B (NM) and JRF in an ICMR funded project as per details given below

Scientist B
Essential Qualifications :
Post Graduate degree including integrated PG degrees in Life Sciences/ Pharmacology/ Toxicology/ Public Health or allied subjects from a recognize university
Desirable Qualifications :
• At least 1 year of experience in health research, preferably involving hospital-based, field based or toxicology-related data
• Prior experience in ICMR/DST/DBT -funded projects or projects involving hospital data abstraction
• Familiarity with ICMR ethical guidelines and project coordination
• Knowledge of data analysis using SPSS/State/R
• Good communication and team coordination skills for managing hospital and state-level liaison
• Fluency in Hindi, Punjabi, and English for hospital-level data abstraction
• Willingness to travel to district hospitals across neighboring states as per project schedule.

Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualifications :
Postgraduate degree in Basic Science (Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Public Health, Biochemistry, allied subjects) from a recognized university
Desirable Qualifications :
• Preference will be given to NET/GATE/ equivalent examination qualified candidates and those with relevant project-related experience.
• Experience in primary data collection, record retrieval, or survey work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Forms, and REDCap/ODK or other digital data tools
• Fluency in Hindi, Punjabi, and English for hospital-level data abstraction
• Willingness to travel to district hospitals across neighboring states as per project schedule


For both the posts
Upper ARC limit : As per ICMR / institute rules. Relaxation will he given as per GOI rules 
Remuneration : As per 1CMR guidelines

The engagement in the project is purely on a temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project. However, appointments will initially be offered for a period of one year to be extended on a yearly basis depending upon satisfactory performance anti co-terminus with the project. Please note that it is not a PGIMER/ICMR, New Delhi appointment and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit on any position.
