Job Description
Project Team Leadership

•  Define and execute project strategies in alignment with portfolio goals and selection assumptions
•  Lead project teams within matrixed organization; engage stakeholders and resolve conflicts proactively
•  Facilitate regular and ad hoc project team meetings, ensuring documentation of agendas, minutes, and actions
•  Active knowledge and experience sharing (e.g. lessons learned)
•  Support in on-boarding of the new PM hires
•  Other tasks as directed by the supervisor, tasks based on a specific appointment or determined by the annual objective setting process
•  Responsibility for personal and professional development of her-/himself and team members Project Planning and Execution
•  Establish project plan baselines and document assumptions
• Compile and challenge project schedules with the project team, manage timelines through critical path analysis
•  Describe impact to timeline, costs and risks in scenario planning
•  Monitor completion of key development tasks through systematic progress monitoring, milestone completion, quality gates, and stage gating processes
•  Define key project risks and establish response plans
• Provide status updates and conduct escalations within defined governance requirements and ensure timely decision making
•  Report and maintain project data and documents within data bases
• Implement new project management methodologies and tools Project Budget Management
•  Establish and control budget for project direct and indirect costs
•  Identify project budget risks and opportunities
•  Describe impact to project budget in scenario planning
• Report project budget according to established Sandoz financial cycles Key Performance Indicator

Candidate Profile
Scientific academic degree (MSc, PhD), preferably in pharmacy, chemistry or biochemistry Project Management trainings or certification Fluent in English (speaking/writing)
• Broad experience in Generic Product Development (7+ years) and Project Management (2+ years)
• Experience in managing development and regulatory (D&R) projects
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across a matrix organization
• Good inter-personal skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience in reporting and presenting to various levels of management
• Intercultural savvy
• Team player with track record of team achievements
• Excellent analytical ability
• Change champion, operationally orient-ed, motivated, result-driven
