The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.

Project entitled : “Price Regulation and Value Based Pricing for Anti Cancer Drugs : Implication for Patients, Industry, Insurer and Regulator"

Project Coordinator  - 01 post
Essential: Masters in Public Health/ M.D. Community Medicine/ MD Pharmacology Minimum 2 years of research experience in economic evaluation/ Health Technology Assessment. Proficiency in writing scientific papers and reports Excellent analytical skills
Desirable : PhD. Excellent knowledge of health economics. Proficiency in undertaking independent research work in the health sector High level of expertise in using statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R and MS Excel Good communication skills.
Duration :  2 Years
Emoluments per months (in Rs.) :  75,000/-pm

Research Officer - 01 post
Essential: Masters in Public Health/ MD Community Medicine/ Masters in Pharmacy Practice/ MD in Pharmacology
Desirable : -    
Excellent knowledge of Health Technology Assessment & EuroQol Valuation Methods, -Experience of writing project reports.
- Experience in use of statistical software such as SPSS, Epi-lnfo, Spreadsheet programming.

Duration :  2 Years
Emoluments per months (in Rs.) :  50,000/- pm

Post is purely on contract basis for 18 Months. The job Profile for the above post is field based. She will be posted at rural locations in North India. He/She shall be liable  to be on call duty beyond duty hours which shall not normally exceed 12 hours at a time.
