The Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life Sciences was conceived in the context of globalization, to foster research competence in India and to bridge the divide between academic research and the pharmaceutical & biotechnology industries. The institute was incorporated as a non-profit entity under Section 25 of the Indian companies act, facilitating operational autonomy. Construction of the DRILS building comprising 44 labs and an administrative block and spanning ~130,000 sq.ft. in area, began in 2004 and was completed in January 2007.

Research Associate (Process Chemistry R&D)

Experience: 2-5 Years

Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure safety at work place
• Conducting the day to day experimentations
• Interpretation of NMR spectra and HPLC chromatograms
• Ensure consistency and repeatability of process to get acceptable yield and quality
• Preparation of project presentation for internal chemistry meeting and maintain research records

Job Type: Full-time

Research Chemist / Sr. Research Chemist (Process Chemistry R&D)

Experience: 0-2 Years

Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure safety at work place
• Perform the experimentation under the supervision of seniors.
• Collect literature for relevant steps.
• Ensure that laboratory note book (LNB) entries and sample submission are carried out in accordance with the Institute SOPs
• Update the lab chemical list and chemical arrangements periodically.
• Calibration of laboratory instruments such as pH meter, weighing balance etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Associate scientist / Scientist (R&D Synthesis)

Experience: 6-9 Years

Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)/ PhD in chemistry

Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure safety at work place
• Development of scalable and safe chemical processes for assigned projects
• Attend to troubleshooting during all stages of the synthetic processes in the assigned project
• Preparation of project relevant documents
• Prepare/support the relevant SOPs.
• Preparation of project related presentation for external review meetings.
