Government of Gujarat has recognized the importance of the science of biotechnology and its potentiality. With the vision to develop biotechnology sector and to provide global level opportunities, research and development in the state, the government in the year 2004, established Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM) as a state nodal agency dedicated to biotechnology. It has taken another important leap with a vision to build biotechnology based research and development activities by establishing an independent organization namely, Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (GBRC) under the Department of Science and Technology.

Project Manager (01), Research Associate (06), Project Associate II (01), Junior Research Fellow (07), and Lab Technician (01) Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre invites applications from the interested deserving candidate for the post of PM (01), RA (06), PAII (01), JRF (07) and LT (01) positions in below mentioned research project. Research Associate

Project name : Network Program on AMR, Superbugs and One Health
Desired qualification : 1. Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Biological Sciences/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences /Molecular Biology or equivalent degree OR 2. Having 3 years of experience in research design and development after M.V.Sc/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Bio-informatics/ Biochemistry/ Life science with at least 1 research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. OR 3. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biological sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology with 3 years of research design and development experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. Experience: Candidates should have research experience in Next Generation Sequencing data analysis, and experience in working with Linux systems will be given preference.

Fellowship (Per Month) : (i) 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars with NET or GATE (ii) 28,000/- + HRA to Scholars without NET or GATE

Terms and Conditions
• The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended after satisfactory performance of the incumbent till termination of the project.
• There is no provision of re-engagement after termination of the project.
• The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment, as the fellowship is co-terminus with the project.
• Maximum age on the last day of the application as per advertisement of the applicant is 45 years for PM, 40 years for RA and PAII and 35 years for JRF, Field Worker and Lab technician.
• No TA /DA will be paid for attending the interview.
