Engagement of Young Professional in Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi on contract basis.

Post: Young Professional - II

Educational Qualification: Essential:
(i) B. Sc. in Physics/Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy and 
(ii) MBA 
Job Profile: 
Maintenance of project files, collecting relevant documents from investigators. Preparing project summary and agenda papers for meetings. 
Database management: Data Capturing and presentation, assist in preparation of Report for Various purposes like RTI, PQ etc. Assist in capturing the output/outcome of Scheme for outreach.
Experience. 03 years after Bachelor degree in R&D/R&D Project Management or relevant fields. 
Age: Not more than 40 years as on the closing

Remuneration and Other Allowances: -
Young Professionals will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.60,000/- respectively. No other allowance such as TA, DA, HRA, Medical etc. will be admissible. However, in the case of Young Professional-1 (Scientific) and Young Professional (Financial Accounting), TA/DA may be allowed for the field visits recommended by the Head of the Division as per the entitlement for non-officials.


Terms of Engagement: -
i The Young Professionals having accepted the offer of engagement, shall enter into a contract, also having the confidentiality clause, with the D/o Science & Technology, detailing the terms and conditions of engagement, before being
assigned any work.
ii.    The tenure of the Young Professionals I, II and III will be initially for a period of one year from the date of engagement which is extendable based upon performance. The maximum period of engagement shall be five years. The tenure may be terminated by giving one month s notice on either side.
iii.    The tenure of the Young Professional-I (Scientific) and Young Professional (Financial Accounting) will be initially for a period of six months from the date of engagement which is extendable upto 2 years based upon performance or co¬terminus with the VAIBHAV Programme, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be terminated by giving one month s notice on either side.
iv Any breach of contract executed by the Young Professionals with the Department shall be considered a sufficient ground for the termination of the engagement made under the Contract and may further debar such Young Professionals from future engagement by the Department.
v.    DST or its representative reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reasons.
vi Young Professionals shall be eligible for 18 days leave in a calendar year on pro¬rata basis. Also, un-availed leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward to next year. Department would be free to terminate the services in case of absence by more than 15 days beyond the entitled leave in a calendar year.

Mode of Selection: -
Applications received in response to advertisement will be scrutinized and shortlisted applicants will be called for a personal interaction and documents verification with original documents. Based on qualification, experiences & outcome of persona interaction, the candidate will be selected.

Applications submitted through any other mode shall be summarily rejected.
Note: In case of any discrepancy between English and Hindi versions of the advertisement, English version shall prevail.
