The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Savitribai Phule Pune Campus, Pune. NCCS invites applications for following posts on various extramural projects purely on temporary basis.

Laboratory In charge (Clinical Virologist)
Upper Age Limit : 65 years
Total Monthly Consolidated Emoluments : Rs. 2,00,000
Essential Qualifications & Experience : MD/ M.V.Sc. / Ph.D. in virology with minimum 15 years of experience in academia / pharma industry in human / animal virology/ vaccine production
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : Experience in development/ validation of assays for the viral quantification/ immunological response using various techniques like qPCR/PCR/ ELISA/ CPE etc
Project Tenure : 1 Year

Process Consultant
Upper Age Limit : 65 years
Total Monthly Consolidated Emoluments : Rs. 2,00,000
Essential Qualifications & Experience : Post Graduate in Science or Graduate in Pharmacy with minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) sections of pharma industry. FDA approval in Microbiological (Sterility & BET) testing.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : Experience in QC and certification of IV products.

QC/QA Officer
Upper Age Limit : 45 years

Essential Qualifications & Experience : M.Sc. or B.Pharm with minimum 4 years or M.Pharm with minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.

Veterinary Pathologist
Upper Age Limit : 40 years

Essential Qualifications & Experience : M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology with minimum 3 years of experience in a reputed Govt, or private institution/ CRO/Testing laboratory etc. Well versed in gross pathology as well as histopathological techniques including various staining and specialized staining procedures, clear interpretation of the pathological findings and diagnosis.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : Experience in the haematology, clinical biochemistry and pathology of laboratory animals like mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and non-human primates. Additional experience in microbiological procedures- bacteria culture and identification by biochemical methods will be an added advantage.

Technical Officer
Upper Age Limit : 45 years

Essential Qualifications & Experience : M.Sc. in Life Sciences with minimum 4 years of post- qualification experience in any university/ Govt, institution/ pharma industry of repute and experience in development/ testing/ production of drugs or biologicals.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : Hands-on experience in virology/molecul ar biology techniques like CPE/ viral quantification/ PCR/qPCR etc.

Essential Qualifications & Experience : B.Sc. with DMLT and minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field or M.Sc. with minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : Knowledge and/or experience of work in research institute/pharma industry.

The position will automatically co-terminus on the completion of the project tenure. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in funding agency or in NCCS, Pune.
14) Fellowship/Emoluments: Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project will be made in accordance with the sanction order or latest DST O.M whichever the case may be.
15) Age limit will be considered as on closing date of receipt of application. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of Women/SC/ST/PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules. Reservation as per Govt, of India norms will be followed.
16) Age & Experience will be relaxed in exceptional cases by the Competent Authority.
17) Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence will be treated as disqualification for the post.
