Job Description
• Perform process unit operations according to standard operating procedures and batch records.
• Participate in tech transfer of the process from the development lab to cGMP facility, qualification, and validation of the facility and equipment.
• Draft standard operating procedures and batch records.
• Work with Process Development team and Quality organization to successfully transfer process to cGMP facility to manufacture products.
• Perform tasks in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems and cGMP requirement.
• Other duties will be assigned, as necessary. Occasional weekend work is required.

Candidate Profile
• BS Degree in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry and approximately 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience OR an Associate Degree with at least 2 years for relevant work experience OR high school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience is required
• Experience in the following areas is preferred:
• Aseptic processing in ISO 5 clean room and biosafety cabinets
• Cell expansion using single-use vessels and cell washing processes using automated equipment
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance related to manufacturing of cell based products
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and must be able to stand for a long period of time
• Ability to pay attention to details and follow the procedures
• Ability to handle human derived materials in BSL-2 containment areas
• The candidate must be highly organized and capable of working in a team environment with a positive attitude under some supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• The successful candidate must maintain written records of work in the form of notebooks, technical reports and protocols.
• Ability to summarize and present results, and experience with team-based collaborations is a must.
• This role requires occasional weekend work.
