Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers.

Project Associate-II = 01 Position
Essential Qualification:- (i) Masters / Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences MVSc / Animal Sciences. OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. AND 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. OR
(ii) Masters / Integrated masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification:- Experience in handling cell culture, transfection and expression of monoclonal antibodies.
Upper Age limit:- 35 years Relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST/PwBD/Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively.

Monthly Emoluments : (i) Rs.35,000/- +HRA for those candidate who have qualified CSIR- UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE.
OR Those who have qualified national level examinations conducted by central government department like DBT/DST or equivalent and/ or their agencies/ Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 28000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Senior Project Associate = 02 Positions
Essential Qualification:- (i) Masters/ Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences/ MVSc/ Animal Sciences. Or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. And 3 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services. Or
(ii) Masters/ Integrated masters in Engineering or technology from a recognized University. Or Doctoral Degree in Science/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.

Desirable : - Experience in animal experimentation, molecular biology, microbiology with expertise in handling, isolation, purification, identification and characterization of microbes, research/working experience with in vitro tissue culture using cell lines/primary-+ cultures of human and animal origin. Experience of assistance in Organizing Trainings/ Skill Workshops and Report Writing etc.
Upper Age limit:- 40 years Relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively.

Monthly Emoluments :- Rs.42,000/- +HRA (p.m.)
